Antalya International Airport to Kaleiçi

Kaleiçi is a charming neighbourhood in the centre of Antalya, dating back to the Roman period. With its narrow streets, stone houses, bay balconies decorated with bougainvillea and the historical harbour intertwined with the sea, Kaleiçi is almost a living open-air museum. Kaleiçi, which combines the modern face of Antalya with its history, offers its visitors both a nostalgic and lively atmosphere.

Surrounded by walls, this historical region carries Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman traces together. The stone houses, which have come to life again with restorations, have been transformed into stylish boutique hotels, art galleries and concept cafes. Especially on summer evenings, the sounds of live music coming from the alleyways turn Kaleiçi into an open-air stage. Kaleiçi Old Town Festival is an event area full of colourful street shows and exhibitions where both local and foreign artists meet.
